JACKSON C. PARMENTER
Jackson’s work with KS&P Law began in law school when he was hired as a law clerk to assist in the firm’s civil litigation department. Since that time, Jackson’s work as an associate attorney, and now Partner, has focused on construction law. Jackson regularly represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and sureties in all aspects of the construction process – from front end bid work and bid protests, to back end mechanics liens, claims prosecution and defending and prosecuting delay damages. Jackson has successfully represented all tiers of contractors and owners in arbitration proceedings and before Massachusetts and Rhode Island
courts. Jackson is a published author and speaker on expert discovery issues in Rhode Island State and Federal Courts stemming from a multi-million dollar bridge dispute involving expert engineers.
In addition to his wide array of construction experience, Jackson’s practice focuses on contract disputes, receiverships and insolvencies, professional negligence claims, general business litigation, tax appeals, securing tax stabilization agreements for developers and representing doctors and other care providers before the Rhode Island Department of Health.
Jackson is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bar Associations and was admitted to practice law in all state courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to practice in the federal courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In 2017, Jackson was named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” an award given to no more than 2.5% of lawyers in Rhode Island.
